COVID-19 struck the world end of 2019, leading to one of the worst modern-day pandemic situations. Many people lost their lives, and some made successful recoveries. However, everyone suffered during this period.
Initially, many issues arose with the drug given to those affected by COVID-19. Vaccination was a fundamental problem during the pandemic period. The entire world fully invested in finding a cure for COVID-19 along with a preventive vaccination.
It was a vital issue and a challenge to the world. India then developed the first COVAXIN and COVISHIELD vaccines.
Even though vaccination was good news, people who took it started to experience mild fever, body pain, and nausea after the dose.
After being vaccinated, everyone was monitored for 10-15 minutes to see any sudden adverse reactions. Post-vaccination, the first three days are crucial to see if it caused any side effects.
It is important to drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water. It is essential to remain hydrated before and after vaccination. You can consume coconut water and rich fruits juice like watermelon and muskmelon. The most common side effects are muscle aches, tiredness, headache, and fever. Hydration can prevent you from feeling ill. It also reduces the duration and intensity of side effects.
Eat A Well-Balanced Diet
A well-balanced diet is essential to keep you from having side effects. Eat good protein-rich foods, such as vegetables, turmeric, and garlic, to boost your immune system. It is preferable to stay away from spicy and oily foods for a while. You should adhere to a strict diet before and after vaccination.
It is recommended that a minimum of 7 to 8 hours is mandatory. Once vaccinated, your body is entirely dependent on your immune system. If you experience sleep deprivation, that may suppress the body’s immunity, reconstruct its mechanisms, and receive more stress.
You must continue to exercise regularly. Exercise promotes blood circulation and may help reduce the side effects of the vaccine. It is best to avoid going to the gym for a few days. Walking or light jogging can be beneficial.
Apply a clean, fresh, moist cloth to your arm after vaccination to reduce pain. You can do light exercises or use the arm for light activities to minimize pain and discomfort.
It is advised to stop smoking and alcohol consumption, which could aggravate side effects and make them more stressful and uncomfortable. It adversely affects the body’s immune system because it may not be very effective if you have excessive alcohol in your body.
Please do not take vaccination on an empty stomach. It might cause dizziness, as you are more likely to faint if you are queasy about needles.
Vaccination can keep you safe from hospitalization, death, and severe illness. No vaccination can achieve a 100% success rate. Although, post-vaccination, there is a chance of being infected with COVID-19. After vaccination, follow COVID-19 rules, such as wearing masks, hand sanitizers, or washing and maintaining physical distancing.
The COVID-19 vaccine will take time to make your body immune after both the required doses are taken. You may experience some side effects, such as arm pain, and there will be minor discomfort or fatigue for a few days. However, if you experience the symptoms of COVID-19, remember to seek medical attention right away.
