Onions are a great natural source of quercetin, a bioflavonoid that you may have seen sold on your own as a food supplement. Raw red onions are very abundant in quercetin, followed by white onions. Cooking reduces the amount of quercetin in onions, so for maximum impact, eat raw onions.
You can eat it in salads, dips (such as guacamole), or sandwich toppings. Onions are also foods rich in prebiotics, nourishing healthy intestinal bacteria and promoting excellent immunity and health.
These foods, however, cannot substitute for any seasonal allergy treatment, but they can help you with your general lifestyle.
