HEALTH
All bodies are beautiful in their own way. However, people might be unhappy with the way their body looks because of their weight. Different people have different perspectives on weight loss. Obesity is what we need to know about and take quick steps to regulate it.
Obesity leads to many health issues, like heart problems, which make you lethargic, and slowly one disease gets inter-connected with the other and the list keeps growing.
Over-eating is the main cause of obesity, and there are other reasons too, like stress, improper sleep, irregular or binge eating, all these contribute to weight gain and an unhealthy lifestyle. To lead a healthy life and drop down a few inches, it’s never too late.
Consume honey with lime, this is the best way to reduce your weight. It is even better if you take honey with lemon and warm water is a good way to start your day. Honey plays a role in weight loss in naturopathy. Lemon helps in detoxification. Honey has medicinal properties
Most of us have a habit of drinking tea or coffee, we can substitute Green tea in place of these beverages. Green tea contains a component which is called epigallocatechin gallate which is a powerful antioxidant. This antioxidant helps in burning fat in the body. You can consume once or twice a day.
We have all become lazy, that we sometimes avoid drinking water. We postpone drinking water and even forget. Drinking water helps flush out the impurities and speeds up weight loss. It is the most suitable substitute for aerated drinks, sports drinks, sugary juices, and alcohol that only add calories to our diet and do not provide any nutritional benefits.
It is recommended that we drink about 2-3 liters of water every day. Consumption of more water boosts your metabolic rate and increases urination, which in turn helps you lose more water weight. Drinking water before meals can also prevent overeating.
If you have heart and kidney complications, consult a physician before limiting or increasing fluid consumption.
Vegetables, are made up of complex carbohydrates, which means they take longer to digest, leaving you feeling full and satisfied.
In 2015, research made by Charlotte Erlanson-Albertsson stated that a component, thylakoid found in spinach can curb food cravings and suppress hunger which can further help in the process of weight loss. Vegetables are composed of a high percentage of water and fiber, they initiate urination and help in the release of excess water weight.
We digest refined grain quickly. A normal whole grain has 3 parts bran, germ, and endosperm. This quickly digestible refined grain does not contain bran and germ which have fiber and nutrients. The endosperms consist of sugar and carbohydrates, both of which are quickly digested. They also leave you feeling unsatisfied, with a craving to eat more.
Nutritious Food is what you should always intake to have a healthy weight loss. People wanting to lose weight can opt for very low-energy food, including fruits, fish, vegetables, grains, and lean meat. Including vitamin C-rich foods such as lemon, amla (Indian gooseberry) and orange also helps in losing weight. For sufficient protein requirements, animal meats (not dark meat), and vegetarian options such as sprouts, soya, and paneer (Indian cottage cheese) can be included in your diet.
The most convenient thing to do when we are in the rush is to opt for fast food, which is very tasty, and easily available. The fast-food category contains large amounts of carbohydrates, sodium, and unhealthy fat, food coloring which only contributes to weight gain, and unhealthy eating, especially when eaten very frequently.
Thus, make some time in your schedule to prepare healthier options that will last a few days or even the entire week, with lots of vegetables, fruits, and protein. We tend to eat fast food very quickly due to additives and eating something in rush increases the chances of overeating. If you do feel like eating fast food, you have healthier options that are grilled and your sides can include a fruit or salad with water or a diet beverage.
Weight loss is a 70% healthy balanced diet and 30% exercise. By exercising, your metabolism will have a good improvement. You can always alternate your workout pattern with lunges, push-ups, sit-ups, and the like so that your body doesn’t get used to the same pattern.
Alternatively, give it a try to do yoga. This also helps in improving flexibility and weight loss. Break up your workouts into smaller periods, don’t just exercise once a day. To keep your metabolism working at a high rate throughout your waking hours, workout very often.
Try to work out at least 4-5 times a week will speed up weight loss, in addition to portion control and a healthy balanced diet. If you are unable to make it to the gym, take a walk outside after dinner or with a pet for at least 20 minutes daily and this is beneficial to your health.
