The APA has grouped the condition into three types or categories: predominantly inattentive, hyperactivity-impulsive, or both.
People diagnosed with inattentive ADHD have difficulty regulating their attention, following instructions, and finishing tasks. Experts suggest that children with inattentive ADHD might not get a proper diagnosis as they are quiet and don’t disrupt the classroom. This is also more common in girls with ADHD.
