In the case of children’s rooms, less is always more. Make sure there’s lots of open floor space for kids to play. They’ll have more room to play and a neutral canvas that you can readily modify as your child grows, provided you keep the decor simple and have minimal furniture.
Open storage allows well-loved toys to act as lovely décor, and a floor-level, a house-frame bed, can also function as a play zone. The current trend is to stick to a monochrome palette of beige or light browns. It’s entirely up to you whether you want a neutral or bright theme. However, do what you think your child would enjoy.
