The 12 zodiacs or astrological signs are divided into four elements – fire, earth, air, and water. We need these elements to survive, and each element cannot exist without the other. The earth signs – Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn – are the ones who keep it real and the most grounded.
Earth signs are constant, rational, and steadfast. They are loyal, practical, and reliable. They are the best people to be friends with. If you need help or are in trouble, earth signs are the ones you call. They are not easily angered, so it takes a lot to frustrate them. However, watch out if they’re annoyed.
Despite being practical, earth signs are anything but boring. They are collectors of objects and have a sensual core – especially when they reward themselves for all their hard work. They are in tune with their senses and are the best people to ask for food recommendations and playlists.
Earth signs are also known for their patience and creativity. Their minds are constantly working on long-term projects that require significant commitment and energy. However, the projects must also align with their values. They never abandon projects or relationships, so they will remain friendly and keep their spirits up no matter how hard the going gets.
The elements are always four signs away from each other. For example, Taurus is the second sign, Virgo is the sixth, and Capricorn is the tenth. This placement or the “trine” is known to bring good vibes. It also means that the earth signs work well with the other signs as friends, lovers, family members, or coworkers.
The earth signs and the other signs understand each other well. However, earth signs get along really well with water signs – they are “congenial elements.” After all, we need both earth and water when growing plants.
There are earth signs for each modality – beginning of the season (cardinal), middle of the season (fixed), or end of the season (mutable).
Tauruses are known for their creativity and use their sense of beauty and sensuality to make their dreams come true. They also inspire others to do the same. Tauruses work hard, are persistent, reliable, and stable on a good day.
They can be jealous, indulgent, lazy, possessive, and controlling on bad days. However, regardless of their behavior on good or bad days, they are the most loyal zodiac. They never sway in their heart or affections, despite flirting a little with others for extra attention.
Tauruses are fixed signs, meaning they value commitment and can be very stubborn.
Virgos are the most analytical bunch of the zodiac. They are a mutable sign – logical, practical, sensible, and reasonable. Virgos approach life systemically and emphasize truth and justice. Their curious minds investigate situations and solve them through reason.
They can also be a little obsessive about the tiniest details, and their adaptability makes them open to change – slowly.
Capricorns are ambitious and hardworking. As they are cardinal signs, they’re not afraid to take the initiative and be leaders. They insist on having control and have a reputation for being stoic and proud. They also have a voyeuristic tendency and watch situations unfold from a distance.
However, they are also compassionate and reflective. Capricorns are not ones to sit on the sidelines – they like taking action and completing whatever initiative they undertake. They also rarely hold grudges.
Water signs hold on to people and items for longer than they should. They are also overly emotional and are described to have emotions “constantly flowing like the waves of the oceans.” The water signs – Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces – are sensitive and sentimental. There is an ongoing joke that water signs are called so because of their tears.
Water signs also dream intensely, have vivid visions and intuition – they might as well be psychic. They call out situations before they happen and intentionally seek out sad music or movies. As they are creative and emotional, they listen to their hearts when making decisions.
Water signs long for security and are very loyal and protective of themselves and their people. They are very caring and do everything in their power to help those they care about, even if it hurts them. Due to their placements, water signs get along with other water signs.
There’s one water sign for each modality – cardinal (season’s beginning), fixed (season’s middle), and mutable (season’s ending).
Cancers, as cardinal signs, like taking decisive action and quickly making their dreams a reality. They are the providers and take good care of their loved ones. Crabs have the unique ability to exist between land and water. Similarly, Cancers can glide between the emotional and material worlds.
Like crabs, they take excellent care of their home and are comfortable being homebodies. They also tend to be possessive/protective and hold onto people and things that make them comfortable with all their strength.
Scorpios, often mistaken for fire signs, are the only fixed water sign. They are passionate, intensely energetic, and intuitive. They mostly rely on their gut feelings rather than logic and reason. Like other water signs, their emotions are turbulent and can’t turn them off.
Despite seeming guarded in the beginning, they have intense feelings and emotions. Their intense energy is only second to their intuition. They can also be obsessive and insanely protective of themselves and their friends.
Scorpios are also sensitive, so they channel their emotions into vengeance when they’re hurt or betrayed. People who hurt Scorpios or their tribe will forever lose their place in their life.
Pisces tend to be mysterious and dreamy. They are imaginative, tend to daydream and live like they’re in a fairy tale. Their emotions are turbulent and take a long time to decide. However, once they decide on their feelings, they will fight tooth and nail for it. They are another psychic zodiac. They are creative and use their art to express a utopia – even if it’s only in their mind.
