It’s the leading cause of odors in homes. Minimize wall-to-wall carpets or rugs if in a humid region since they can absorb moisture, particularly in the bathrooms and kitchens. Use a hygrometer to check the humidity and temperature in each room.
If the humidity level is more than 60%, you may need a dehumidifier. Hang bath rugs over the shower rod to dry thoroughly. Moisture-absorbing items should be kept in tiny damp spaces, such as restrooms and some closets.
Make sure clean towels are completely dry before tucking and keeping them away. Additional micro sources of dampness, such as sponges and towels, should be monitored – replace sponges after one to two weeks.
