Music icon David Crosby has been a solo artist and a member of several recognizable and noteworthy groups. A founding member of the band, the Byrds, the very same Byrds who gave Bob Dylan his hit single, “Mr. Tambourine Man.”
Later, he founded the band Crosby, Stills, & Nash, which won the Grammy for Best New Artist. He was inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to work with the Byrds and CSN. He expresses his political views openly, and he is a symbol of the counterculture of the 1960s.
Rolling Stone’s The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time includes five albums he contributed to, three with the Byrds and two with CSN(Y). Cameron Crowe produced the 2019 documentary David Crosby: Remember My Name about Crosby.
